The Swords Cultural Quarter Musician in Residence 2026 Award is funded by Fingal County Council Arts Office and managed by Music Network.
We invite professional musicians to apply for a residency opportunity in 2026. One opportunity is available for a professional musician/group with a minimum of two years professional performance experience. This opportunity is for a musician/group to create and showcase new work. New work may focus on composing and/or performing, for example to create new music and/or to develop a new collaboration.
If you are selected as the musician/group you will receive:
- €6,000
- Access to the space in The Carnegie, Swords for up to 10 days between July and October 2026
- Access to a desk space to work at The Carnegie on additional days
- Space to present one concert at The Carnegie or Swords Castle
- Space to present additional events, for example a showcase, open rehearsal or workshop. The location for this will be discussed with the Arts Office team.
- The residency dates will be agreed with the selected musicians.
