This award is designed to support the purchase / refurbishment of concert standard grand pianos by arts venues, and music presenters programming in a dedicated performance space, promoting excellence in music performance. We welcome applications from organisations that provide a year-round high quality music programme, support the work of professional musicians (e.g. professional development opportunities such as artist residencies, masterclasses etc.), and have a strong track record in audience and community engagement.

Please study the Music Capital Scheme 2024 Piano Award Guidelines (here) before completing this form.

The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Musicians-in-Residence Scheme is jointly funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Arts Council, and is managed by Music Network.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown (DLR) County Council invites professional musicians to apply for residency opportunities in 2025: one for an established musician/group and one for an emerging musician/group. The aim of the Musicians-in-Residence Scheme is to provide opportunities to develop and showcase new work. New work may be compositional and/or performance focused i.e. to create new material and/or to develop a new artistic collaboration. Residencies will take place from May to November 2025 (exact dates/periods to be discussed with awarded musicians). Flexibility may be required around the dates in the Studio, as this is a busy multi-use space.

If you have any difficulty completing the online application form or have any access needs, please contact Music Network’s Operations Administrator, Ciarán Kilbride by email; operations@musicnetwork.ie or call 01 475 0224.
